Loving God, Loving One Another, and REACHING THE WORLD

Scripture is clear–Christians are called to take the Gospel to all people. Charles Spurgeon once stated, “Every Christian is either a missionary or an imposter.” There is much truth in that statement, because missions is in the DNA of every follower of Christ. It is simply who we are. We know Christ, so our desire is to make Him known to those who do not.

We take Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:19-20 seriously at Grace Baptist. Our desire is to “go and make disciples of all nations,” and we will faithfully seek to proclaim the Gospel to the nations, beginning with our own, until our Lord Jesus returns. How are we seeking to do this?

Local Missions
First and foremost, we believe that every one of our members is a missionary, regardless of whether they are a high school student or a business professional. If they follow Jesus, then they are called to missions where they are. Therefore, we challenge and equip our people to be disciple-makers every day in their family, neighborhoods, schools, and workplace.

Additionally, we  support and assist local Gospel-centered ministries that are actively seeking to minister to individuals within our community, provide intentional outreach opportunities for our community of believers, and seek to engage our community with the Gospel through a variety of ministry projects.

National Missions
The United States continues to spiral downward as false worldviews lead many people astray from the truth. Given this problem and the reality that there are millions of unbelievers across our country, we seek to provide opportunities for our people to take the Gospel to our nation. Members of Grace have taken the gospel to Eastern Kentucky, Alabama, Montana, and Missouri in the past. Grace Baptist is currently partnering with Redemption Hill, a church plant in Columbus, Ohio. We also partner with two churches in Utah--Pioneer Community Church in Eagle Mountain and Crossroads Church in Sandy.

International Missions
Deeply committed to the task of international mission, the vision of GBC is for the multiplication of healthy churches around the world. In service to this vision we partner with individuals and families, church planters and local churches in several different countries.
